Abstract

Objective To develop a kind of low firing non-engobe enamel and study its performance. Methods The ratio of fluxible and refractory compound was adjusted, the particle size of enamel powder was refined and the enamel coating was prepared using low-temperature long-time sintering technology. SEM was used to observe the morphology of the enamel coating and plain steel substrate to characterize its adherence. Finally, citric acid solution was used to test the acid resistance. Results The optimal parameters of enamel preparation were as follows: firing time 8 min, firing temperature 780 ℃ . Conclusion This kind of enamel coating has good acid corrosion resistance and adherence between enamel coating and plain steel substrate. In the premise of low sintering temperature, the enamel coating also had other good performance.
