Abstract

Objective To improve the corrosion resistance of fluoferrite conversion coating. Methods SEM, neutral salt spray and polarization curve were used to study the effects of DTAB and glycine on the corrosion resistance of fluoferrite conversion coating on the surface of steel. Results The results showed that the addition of DTAB and glycine in the conversion solution increased the thickness of the conversion coating prepared. The corrosion potential of the sample was about higher by 42 mV, the corrosion current density of the coating was lower by 1 / 3, and the neutral salt spray resistant duration was longer by more than 2 times. Conclusion The corrosion resistance of steel was significantly improved.
