Abstract

Objective To improve the antistatic and anti-abrasive properties of the porcelain rollers in the textile industry. Methods The antistatic and anti-abrasive composite coatings were prepared by plasma spray. Ni package Al was the transition layer, and the Al2O3-TiO2ceramic coatings was the surface layer. The plasma spray processing parameters were optimized by experiments. Results The optimized process of plasma spraying was obtained. The silicon carbide grinding wheel was suitable for the following abrasive machining. Conclusion Plasma spraying is one of the valid ways to prepare the anti electrostatic coatings for rollers. Rollers with antistatic and anti-abrasive coating prepared by plasma spray were successfully applied.
