Effect of Laser Power on the Hardness of WO3-V2O5-C Ni-based Cladding Layer

Abstract

The WO3-V2O5-C Ni-based cladding layer has been prepared successfully by laser cladding on steel 45#substrate. The microstructure of cladding layer was analyzed, the microhardness of cladding layer was measured, the effect of WO3-V2O5-C content and laser power on the hardness of cladding layer was researched. The result shows that the microhardness of mass fraction of 25 % WO3+V2O5+C cladding layer is maximum in 1 . 4 kW power,and the average value of microhardness is up to 1400 HV0 . 3 . The wear resistance of the cladding layer is greatly improved.
