Abstract

The Ni-Nd2O3nanocomposite coatings were prepared by electrodeposition with single-ultrasound and combination ultrasound, respectively. The surface morphologies of nanocomposite coatings were analyzed and the Nd2O3content in nanocomposite coatings was measured. The corrosion resistance of Ni-Nd2O3nanocomposite coatings was studied. The results show that combination ultrasound could increase Nd2O3content in Ni-Nd2O3nanocomposite coatings. Under the synergy and cavitation effect of combination ultrasound, the nanocomposite coatings have refiner grains, more compact microstructure and exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, and show excellent corrosion resistance.
