Abstract

During the laser cladding process, compared the energy distributions of the Gaussian laser beam and the annular laser beam, used ANSYS software with finite element analysis of temperature field of two different heat source, according to the simulation results, analyzed the influence of the surface configuration of the pool . Thereby concluded: the annular laser beam has a more reasonable energy distribution than the Gaussian laser beam, it can obtain a more flat pool surface, thus reduces the diffuse reflection area of the laser, to avoid the vents of synchronization powder-feeding apparatus get clogged by the powder which is melted by the reflected laser.
