Abstract

By slow strain rate tensile and fracture morphology observation methods, the stress corrosion susceptibility of TWIP steel was studied in the electrochemical hydrogen charging. The results show that TWIP steel have stress corrosion sensitivity on hydrogen changed conditions.Under constrain strain rate of 6.67×10-6s-1,with one-way austenitic structure TWIP steel have smaller stress corrosion sensitivity, deformation twinshave TWIP steel have a higher stress corrosion sensitivity. This is because the formation of the twin lead to the hydrogen has higher concentration in some areas, so it promotes the local plastic deformation, reduces the hydrogen pressure and increases the stress corrosion sensitivity of the TWIP steel.
