Abstract

The open-circuit potential and polarization curve of ZA35 and ZA35-0.15Sr alloys in NaOH aqueous solution at 20℃,40℃ and 60℃ were studied by means of electrochemical workstation for studying the effect of alloying element Sr on corrosion resistance of ZA35 alloy. The result shows that: when thetemperature is elevated, the open-circuit potential of alloys are gradually shifted in the negative direction, the open-circuit potential of ZA35-0.15Sr alloy is higher than that of ZA35 alloy at the same temperature; Both of the alloys dissolve during weak polarization and passive during strong polarization, the corrosion resistance of ZA35-0.15Sr alloy is higher than that of ZA35 alloy at the same temperature; Compared to ZA35 alloy,ZA35-0.15Sr alloy with refined grain and dendrite improve the corrosion resistance in NaOH solution.
