Abstract

The characters of hyperbranched hybrid polyurethane and UV curable hyperbranched polyurethane prepared from the modified home-made polyhydric hyperbranched polyurethane were investigated by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance. Then a series of UV curable organic-inorgnic hybrid sol have been prepared by blending hydrolysis with different proportions tetraethyl orthosilicate and tetrabutyl titanate, and the surface topography of the hybrid coatings were investigated by atomic force microscopy, and the physical properties of the coatings were tested. The results showed that the surface quality of the coatings became worse as the inorgani ccontent increased. The surface quality of SiO2 hybrid coatings was better than TiO2 hybrid coatings, and their mixture hybrid coatings was in between. With the increase of inorganic content the pendulum hardness of the coatings got better. And the properties of hyperbranched SiO2 hybrid coatings was better than others.
