Abstract

H13 steel (4Cr5MoSiV1) is a kind of widely used hot work tool steel. During operation, the tool steel is subject to prolonged high-temperature oxidation, high-intensity alternating stress, and thermal shock, which significantly shorten its effective service life. To enhance the wear and corrosion resistance of the H13 hot work tool steel surface and thereby extend its service life, this study employs laser cladding technology to prepare four sets of Inconel 625 coating samples on the H13 steel surface at scanning speed of 8 mm/s, 10 mm/s, 12 mm/s, and 14 mm/s, respectively. The research investigates the effect of scanning speed on the wear and corrosion resistance properties of the Inconel 625 coating.
