Abstract

To improve the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy drill pipe, the ultrasonic cold forging and micro-arc oxidation technology are used to form the fine crystal layer of UCFT and micro-arc oxidation film layer wrapped on the aluminum alloy surface. The ultrasonic cold forging technology (UCFT) and micro arc oxidation technology (MAO) are used to form a UCFT fine-grained layer and a micro-arc oxidation film layer wrapped on the surface of the aluminum alloy to strengthen the aluminum alloy drill pipe material (2024). The influence of the UCFT fine-grained layer and the micro-arc oxidation film on the corrosion behavior and corrosion laws of aluminum alloy drill pipes are studied by simulating the service conditions and environment of aluminum alloy materials in the scientific ultra-deep well "high temperature-high pressure-mechanics- chemistry", combined with weightlessness method, electrochemical method, scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and other test methods. According to the electrochemical test results, the corrosion resistance of the surface-treated aluminum alloy gradually decreases with the increasing the elastic tensile stress, but under the action of elastic tensile stress of 300 MPa, the aluminum alloy treated with UCFT+MAO can still maintain a lower corrosion rate (10?2 mm/a), and the corrosion resistance is still greater than that without UCFT+MAO treatment aluminum alloy; According to the test results of weight loss method and scanning electron microscope, it can be seen that under the condition of elastic tensile stress of 100 MPa, the corrosion rate of aluminum alloy treated with UCFT+MAO increases significantly with the gradual increasing the experimental temperature, and the corrosion morphology of the surface becomes more and more uneven, and the degree of protrusion increases. Moreover, when the experimental temperature increases more than 125 ℃, the corrosion rate of aluminum alloy treated with UCFT+MAO increases significantly with the increasing temperature. The XRD test results show that under 100 MPa elastic tensile stress and different temperature conditions, the chemical composition of the aluminum alloy surface treated by UCFT+MAO is mainly Al and Al2O3. The fine-grained layer and micro-arc oxide film formed by UCFT and MAO treatment can effectively protect the aluminum alloy matrix and improve the corrosion resistance of the aluminum alloy.
