Abstract

In order to study the influence of dynamic and static marine atmosphere on the corrosion behaviors of 7B04 aluminum alloy, measured the corrosion morphology, corrosion weight loss and mechanical property of 7B04 aluminum alloy after 1-year outdoor atmospheric exposure on the ocean-going ship platform and offshore platform of Wanning station. The results showed that:1) Under dynamic and static marine atmosphere, pitting corrosion occurred on the surface of 7B04 aluminum alloy, and the corrosion on the ocean-going ship platform was more serious than that on offshore platform of Wanning station. 2) The corrosion rate of 7B04 aluminum alloy in the dynamic natural environment test on the ocean-going ship platform was 67.4 μm/a, and that in the static natural environment test on the offshore platform of Wanning station was 16.6403 μm/a, so the corrosion rate of 7B04 aluminum alloy under dynamic marine atmosphere on ocean-going ship platform is about 4 times that under static marine atmosphere on the offshore platform of Wanning station. 3) The retention rate of tensile strength, specified plastic elongation strength and percentage elongation after fracture of 7B04 aluminum alloy on the ocean-going ship platform were 91%, 87.5% and 54.3%, respectively. Therefore, the percentage elongation after fracture among the mechanical properties of 7B04 aluminum alloy is reduced the most, which can significantly accelerate the corrosion of 7B04 aluminum alloy.
