Abstract

The work aims to expand the connotation of mass finishing by analyzing the requirements of high-performance parts and the advantages and application scope of mass finishing, so as to analyze the research status of mass finishing technology at home and abroad from the aspects of discrete element simulation, microscopic effect test analysis, research and development of new processing media, experimental research and the mass finishing effect of typical parts. After finishing of high-performance parts by different types of mass finishing processes, the defects such as burrs were removed, the edges were rounded evenly, the surface texture was refined and the sensory quality such as gloss was good. The surface roughness Ra level was improved by 2 levels, the surface stress state was greatly improved, the residual compressed stress was obviously increased, the various indexes of surface integrity were comprehensively improved and the performance and service life such as fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance were effectively improved. Through the creation and regulation of particle flow field, theoretical basis could be provided for finishing process and parameter optimization of high-performance parts. In order to effectively promote the development of next-generation mass finishing technology and fulfill the finishing requirements of high-performance parts, thoughts were made from research and analysis methods, research and development of processing media, new and complex processing methods, etc.
