Abstract

The work aims to develop long-acting weather-proof marine acrylic polyurethane anti-corrosive finishing coating of low-temperature curing performance. Hydroxy acrylic resin was modified by poly-aspartic resin. Hindered amine light stabilizer and ultraviolet absorbent were jointly used as system light stabilizer, modified macromolecular unsaturated carboxylate as dispersant, fluorine-modified polyacrylate as flatting agent, and polyamide wax as thixotropic anti-sediment agent. Wet sericite, titanium dioxide and blanc fixe were co-used as system pigments and fillers. By controlling different additive amounts of aspartic acid resin NH1420 and optimizing additive system as well as pigment and filler system, surface curing time could be 55 minutes, hard drying time could reach 14 hours, then the paint system could be applied in 24 h, film hardness could be up to 2H after being placed for 10 days at -5 ℃, and the coating exhibited excellent long-acting weathering performance. The addition of polyaspartic acid resin can improve low temperature curing performance of acrylic polyurethane finish paint, and coordinated application of hindered amine light stabilizer and ultraviolet absorbent can improve weather resistance of the coating. The marine low-temperature curing acrylic polyurethane anti-corrosive coating exhibits excellent low temperature curing performance, mechanical property, corrosion resistance and weather resistance.
