Abstract

Objective To prepare waterborne multichannel camouflage printing coating for fabrics and multichannel camouflage fabrics at visible light, near infrared and hot infrared spectrum. Methods Waterborne multichannel camouflage printing coating was prepared using printing adhesive, thickener, low IR emissivity pigment, high near infrared reflective pigment, coloring pigment and dispersant. The multichannel camouflage fabrics at visible light, near infrared and hot infrared spectrum were obtained in the following way: Waterborne multichannel camouflage printing coating effective at visible light, near infrared and hot infrared spectrum was dyed on the polyester-cotton blended fabrics using rotary screen printing. The micro-morphology, camouflage performance and physicochemical properties of the multichannel camouflage fabrics were systematically investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), color difference meter, multispectral spectrophotometer, infrared emissivity tester and infrared imaging system. Results When the fabric surface was coated with the textile printing coating, the colors of visible light camouflage were similar with c environment, and the reflectance of near infrared (0.4~1.2 μm) was basically the same as the background, and the IR thermal image was segmented and fused with the background. Conclusion The multichannel camouflage fabrics was effective at visible light, near infrared and hot infrared spectrum. The physicochemical properties of the multichannel camouflage fabrics met the requirements of practical application.
