Abstract:
Nowadays, more and more researchers pay attention to the microwave absorbing materials along with the devel-opment of stealth technology for military platforms and the requirements of electromagnetic pollution control. Traditional mi-crowave absorbers, such as ferrite, metal powder, conductive magnetic fibers, carbon materials, conducting polymers, etc. cannot meet the comprehensive requirements of “thinness, width, lightness and strength”. Core shell structured magnetic composite wave absorbing materials can simultaneously exhibit the properties of core and shell material and show more excellent absorbing ability than single component material. In recent years, it has become a hot spot of research. The structure of core shell structured magnetic composite wave absorbing materials was described firstly, and then the research achievements of core shell structured magnetic composite wave absorbing materials were summarized and reviewed. The magnetic powder coated core shell composite absorbing materials were divided into two magnetic composite core shell type magnetic absorbents and the magnetic absorbent materials. On this basis and according to the results of research group in recent years, carbonyl iron coated core shell absorbers were discussed. Finally, the problems and development directions of magnetic powder coated core shell composite absorbing materials in the future were pointed out.
