1 Ethics
In order to serious academic style, prevent academic misconduct, and effectively improve the academic quality of the journal, authors are requested to strictly abide by the publishing ethics:
1) The content of the article should not have been published or published in other public publications, please do not submit multiple articles, repeat publication, split publication.
2) The content of the article should be original by the author, and the data should be authentic and reliable. Plagiarism, forgery, or tampering with data are not allowed. For the part cited in the article, the author must indicate the citation and obtain permission if necessary. Surface Technology uses China national knowledge internet to perform four repetition rate tests on the manuscripts during the internal review, final review, online publication and officially published. The repetition rate of research papers must be ≤5%, and the repetition rate of review papers must be ≤10%. Please note that the master and doctoral papers that have been published on China national knowledge internet are included in the detection range, and if the repetition rate is too high, the article will be rejected.
3) The author and unit of the article must be true, and improper attribution is not allowed, Such as exclude those who have made a substantial contribution to the research involved in the paper from the author list, include those who have not made a substantial contribution to the research involved in the paper as the author List, arbitrarily add or delete the author’s name and unit in the paper after submission, and falsely mark the author’s information; author ranking does not correctly reflect the actual contribution.
4) All authors are responsible for the content of the article.
5) Corresponding author must ensure that all authors of the article agree to the article to be published and to sign the article.
6) The author must clearly state any specific or dangerous experiments, materials, etc. that may be involved in the article.
7) The author should keep all the original data of the article, if necessary, for reference.
8) Authors must avoid defamatory statements that harm anyone.
9) The author must declare any potential conflicts of interest related to the article.
10) The author must indicate the source of all research funding for the article.
The editorial board and reviewers will conduct investigation and evidence collection if they find publication ethical harm and academic misconduct during and after the review of the manuscript. Once confirmed, the article will be withdrawn, and Surface Technology will never receive manuscripts from this author.
2 Call for papers
Surface technology receives scientific research, new technologies, new processes and other related research papers and reviews on coating technology, surface friction, wear and lubrication, surface failure and protection, surface photoelectromagnetic, surface finishing and other surface technology.
Standing columns of Surface technology are research overview, surface functionalization, Surface friction, wear and lubrication, surface failure and protection, membrane material and technology, surface quality control and inspection. please select the corresponding column of the article when submitting.
3 Writing requirements
The article should be original, novel, scientific, important, interesting, and expressive, requiring accurate expression, concise text, focused emphasis, authentic data, and credible conclusions.
3.1 Title
The requirements are concise and eye-catching, and can accurately reflect the main content of the full text, usually no more than 20 words. Try to avoid using symbols, abbreviations, abbreviations, and trade names. All kinds of manuscripts must be accompanied by English titles, and the Chinese and English titles should be consistent.
3.2 Authors and units
The author's name is listed under the title. The first signature unit should be the unit that belongs to the intellectual property that the manuscript reports and studies. If the author is a multi-unit, the full name of the unit should be indicated separately. The name, year of birth, education, title, position and research field of the first author and corresponding author should be listed in detail in Chinese and English.
Please list the author and the unit to which the intellectual property belongs in the submission system. Please do not mention the author’s name and unit in the uploaded word document, in order to facilitate blind review.
3.3 Abstract and keywords
1) Abstract. The abstract in both Chinese and English is required. The Chinese abstract must be at least 400 words, and the English abstract must be 300 words. Chinese abstract for research articles are written in four parts: purpose, method, result and conclusion. The content of the research should be discussed in detail, and the main data should be listed. The purpose of writing cannot repeat the title of the thesis. It should be for the purpose of conducting this research, not the content of the research. English abstract uses past tense to describe research and present tense to conclude.
2) keywords. Index 5 to 8 keywords under Chinese and English abstracts.
3.4 Text
The number of words in the text should be appropriate, and the research paper should be no less than 3500 words, the review should be no less than 5000 words.
Research papers should include introduction, experiment method, result and discussion, conclusion. Requirements: clarity of proposition (the point used to illustrate the thesis); conclusive arguments (the a ccuracy of experiment, test data, figures, tables, etc.); sufficient argumentation (discussion, result analysis and mechanism discussion detailed and not burdensome); complete conclusion.
1) Introduction
It is necessary to elaborate on the theoretical basis and background of this study (the reason for this study),summarize the current research status at home and abroad, give the expected results of this study, give the direct references, and put forward the advancement and innovation of this study. Be clear in your statement and concise in your language. Don't include the data and conclusions of your paper (don't repeat them with the abstract).
2) Experiment
It is required to be distinguished from the experimental report. In principle, it is not necessary to list the chapter of instruments and drugs separately, and it can be explained clearly in the experimental process. The basic process of the study should be clearly described and relevant literature cited. The reliability of the r esearch should be ensured and the experiment can be verified by the readers according to the content.
3) Results and discussion
Describe the observations in logical order in the text, figures and tables. Follow the rule of "see text before see figures and tables", the figures and tables should not span chapters. Do not repeat the same data between figures and tables, and do not repeat the same data between text and figures and tables. The figure should be clear and the resolution should not be lower than 300dpi. The table and figure should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they appear in the text. Title of tables and figures should be concise (the experimental conditions should not be detailed), and both in Chinese and English. The coordinate figure shall have horizontal and vertical coordinates (physical meaning of the value) and corresponding units (international system of units). Photographs require a ruler. Quotations from other publications, as shown in the figures and tables, should be attributed and accompanied by written materials approved by the copyright owner.
The terminology involved in article shall be subject to the relevant terminology published by the national natural science terminology examination and approval committee. Chinese and foreign noun terms should be used in their full names and abbreviations should be noted in parentheses when they first appear.
The units of measurement involved shall adopt the international system of units. The percentage of concentration involved should be clearly written, such as mass fraction, mole fraction, volume fraction, e tc.
4) Conclusion
Focus on the innovation and important findings in this study, the existing deficiencies, as well as the views derived from the experimental results. Do not repeat the expression in the preface or results section. The implications of these findings and further research can be inferred, but the findings need to be combined.
3.5 Fund
If the research project of the paper is funded by the fund, please indicate the name and number of the fund project in both Chinese and English.
3.6 Reference
The authors should choose published journals or books of recent years which are read in person. Adopt the sequential coding system, which is arranged according to the references in the text. The serial numbers are marked in square brackets at the upper right corner. In general, there are no less than 50 references for review, and no less than 15 references for other papers. At the end of the articles, they are listed in the order of citation, and the editorial department has the right to add or subtract the unreasonable or missing reference. If the original text is in Chinese, the English version shall be recorded at the same time (the English version of the original text shall prevail), and the accuracy of the literature must be paid attention to. No more than three authors can be listed, with names separated by ","; more than four authors should write the first three, and then "et al." In the reference, the author's surname is written firstly, the first name follows.The name of the periodical shall be the standard full name.
4 Manuscript processing
The manuscript processing is submission, internal review, peer review and final review, all of which are processed online, and offline submissions are not accepted.
The author logs in to the journal website www.surface-techj.com, and can submit a manuscript after registering an account. After submitting the manuscript, he can log in to the website at any time to check the manuscript processing status. Before submitting, please authors carefully read this submission notice. Once submitted, it is automatically considered that the author has read and has understood and accepted the content and requirements of "Contributions". When submitting a manuscript, the author must carefully fill in the article and the author’s real information so as not to affect the processing progress of the manuscript.
Surface technology uses double-blind peer review, and all manuscripts are reviewed by 2 or more experts. For specific manuscript processing flow and cycle, please refer to "Attachment: "Surface Technology" manuscript processing flow and cycle" at the end of this notice.
5 Confidentiality requirements
All authors of the article must ensure that the content of the article does not involve state secrets, politically sensitive information, etc. If there are related problems, the author must be responsible for it.
When the paper is submitted, if the content involves information such as weapons and equipment models, or the unit to which the intellectual property belongs is defense, aerospace, military and other units, please be sure to submit proof that the paper issued by the confidentiality department of this unit does not involve state secrets.
6 Copyright
Before submitting a manuscript, the author should carefully understand the content of the “Paper Copyright Transfer Agreement” of this journal (obtain the “Paper Copyright Transfer Agreement” in the download area of this journal's website). Once submitted, the journal assumes that the author is already familiar with the content of the article's "copyright transfer agreement" and agreed to transfer the right of modification, reproduction, distribution, information network transmission, translation, and compilation in the copyright of the thesis to the journal worldwide.
After receives the accept notice of the article, please submit as soon as possible a signed "authority transfer agreement of the paper" signed by all the authors. After receiving the agreement, the journal will arrange the publication of the relevant work.
7 Fee
After the article has passed the internal review, the journal will charge a review fee, which will be charged at 200 yuan per article. For articles that have been published, this publication will charge a publishing service fee. The charging standard for the publishing service fee is 600 yuan/1,000 words, with a maximum of 5,000 yuan.
For published articles, the journal will pay a certain amount of remuneration according to the appropriate method.
8 Appeal
When the author disagrees with the review results of the article, he can appeal to the editorial department. When the author complains, please give detailed reasons for the complaint against the review comments that have objections
After receiving the appeal, the editorial department organizes special personnel to verify the problem. Once the appeal is confirmed to be valid, a third-party review and arbitration of the manuscript will be arranged as soon as possible.
9 Publication time
Surface technology is a monthly journal, and the electronic version of the current article data is finalized on the 20th of each month and submitted to various databases for processing and printing.
The time that the author retrieves articles in each database is based on the data processing time of each database, and the normal data processing cycle of each database is 4-8 weeks.
10 Get full text and paper
The author can receive two free papers at the beginning of the following month of the publication month. In addition, authors can also obtain papers by subscription. For subscription methods, see "Subscription" on the website of this journal.
