Abstract:
The work aims to analyze adaptability of evaluating application condition and calculation method of failure pressure of adjacent corroded pipelines in DNV-RP-F101 method. Experimental data was utilized to analyze adaptability of predicting failure data of different combination of interactional corroded pipelines in DNV-RP-F101 method, nonlinear finite element value verified to be reliable by experimental data was applied, and adaptability of DNV-RP-F101 standard was studied by simulation. The DNV-RP-F101 method had minor error and strong adaptability in evaluating residual strength of separate corroded pipeline, hence it was reasonable basis of evaluating failure pressure of adjacent corroded pipelines. DNV-RP-F101 method had reseasonable limit setting of axial spacing in evaluating failure pressure of adjacent corroded pipelines, but application conditions of toroidal angle limit highly deviated from actual action angle. Overall error of evaluating failure pressure of similar-sized adjacent corroded pipelines in the DNV-RP-F101 method was less than 10%. As separate corrosion length coefficient sum of adjacent corroded pipelines exceeded a certain critical value, predicted value tended to exceed true value, the evaluation results were subject to prediction risk. Predicted value obtained by evaluating failure pressure of adjacent pipelines in different depth in DNV-RP-F101 method was apparently higher than true value, the evaluation results were subject to prediction risk, the error range span was big and prediction stability was poor. The predicted value obtained by evaluating residual strength of interactive corroded pipelines in DNV-RP-F101 method may exceed the true value.
