Abstract: |
The work aims to predict service life of PTFE coating on iron surface to provide basis for using non-stick pan reasonably by simulating service environment of non-stick pan in daily life. The response surface methodology was used to explore the effects of revolving speed and load on service life of PTFE coating on iron surface. Central composite design (CCD) was used to analyze the effects of revolving speed and load on the service life of PTFE coating on iron surface as well as their interactions. Load and revolving speed both had significant effects on service life of the coating. The test values (F) were all less than 0.0001. A second-order polynomial equation involving service life, speed and load was established by using a test design software. Multiple correlation coefficient was 0.9951, which could explain why response value changed to be 99.51%. Therefore, the model could accurately predict the service life of PTFE coating on iron surface. The optimum applied parameters of the coating were: load as 25 N and revolving speed as 200 r/mim. The expected service life of the coating was about 147 min. It is scientific and reliable to study the service life of PTFE coating by using response surface methodology and simulating practical situation with non-stick pan. It can provide effective guidance for safe use of non-stick pan in daily life. |
