Abstract:
Objective On the epoxy resin and ABS plastic surface sprayed aluminum coatings by electric arc spraying, studies the factors affecting the bonding strength of coating. Methods The first set of tests, sprayed aluminum coatings after plastic surface spraying sand. The second group , in the plastic surface after spray sand coated with a layer of high-strength epoxy resin structural adhesive, and then sprayed aluminum coatings, Select spraying gas pressure, spray current and spray distance three-factor orthogonal experiment, tested bond strength by tensile method, photographic method to measure the liquid aluminum and epoxy plastics, the contact angle of Q235 steel. Results Under this experimental conditions, two kinds of plastic electric arc spraying aluminum primary and secondary order of the factors affecting the bonding strength of coating: air pressure, spray current, spraying distance. Optimal solution: Spraying gas pressure:0.7MPa; spraying current:220A; spraying distance:160mm.Uncoated high-strength epoxy structural adhesive coating, bonding strength maximum of 3MPa; Coated with high strength epoxy structural adhesive coating, bonding strength to nearly 20MPa. The contact angle of molten aluminum and Q235 steel is 45℃ and epoxy plastic is 135℃. Conclusion Epoxy resin and ABS plastic surface low bond strength of arc sprayed aluminum coating, which main reason was the poor wettability of liquid aluminum and between them. After coated with high strength epoxy resin structural adhesive, The combination of the spraying process parameters on the coating strength effect was not obvious, bonding strength was controlled by the binding effect of epoxy structural adhesive to make the coating bond strength improved significantly.
