Abstract:
      Objective Using pulse electrodeposition method preparation of tungsten carbide nickel -cobalt-(WC-Co-Ni) nanocrystalline composite coating. Methods By XRD, SEM, EDS, and hardness analysis methods such as the structure of the coating, surface morphology, elemental composition, microhardness test, finally adopts the method of immersion test of WC-Co-Ni nanocrystalline composite coating and 304 stainless steel corrosion rate in 5% of H2SO4 solution is calculated. Results Results show that the pulse parameters for 5 A/dm2 cathodic current density, pulse duty ratio 50%, the pulse frequency of 2000 Hz, the plating time is 2 hour, preparation of WC- Co- Ni composite coating for nanocrystalline structure, WC-Co nanoparticles have playing an important role to promote nucleation and grain size distribution mostly in about 20 nm; WC - Co nanoparticles on the coating dispersion strengthening effect, making the microhardness of the composite coating 600 HV, higher than that of traditional stainless steel (210 HV); Soak test results show that WC - Co - Ni composite coating corrosion resistance is better than that of 304 stainless steel, the temperature of 20 ℃ ~ 80 ℃, composite coating corrosion rate is slow, 20 ℃ corrosion rate of only 0.4192 mm/a, 80 ℃ is less than 20 mm/a. Coating surface smooth, no crack light. Conclusion Ni coating by cubic shape, the structure of the six-party of WC and cubic type Co,WC - Co particles uniform dispersion in nanocrystalline Ni plating and nickel, tungsten, carbon and atomic weight percentage of cobalt for 6:2:1:1.
