Abstract: |
Objective To prepare Ni-PTFE composite coatings with excellent self-lubricating property, and to explore its tribological performance. Methods First, a layer of PTFE membrane was deposited on the surface of the copper matrix by electrophoretic deposition, and then the matrix with a layer of PTFE membrane was put into the bright nickel plating solution for electrodeposition (electrophoresis-electrodeposition method). SEM with EDS was used to detect the PTFE contents of the composite coating. At the same time, related tribological experiments were conducted on a self-developed pin disk friction tester, so as to evaluate its tribological performance. Results Using the electrophoresis-electrodeposition method, composite coatings with 63. 4% Ni-PTFE were prepared. The addition of PTFE particles could decrease the friction coefficient of the composite coating (minimum 0. 067) under dry friction condition. Conclusion The composite coating with high content of PTFE had good wear resistance. |
