Abstract: |
Objective To enhance the Al content in the Zn-Al pseudo-alloy coating. Methods Zn-Al pseudo-alloy coating was prepared using aluminum and Zn80Al20 alloy by arc spraying on Q235 steel substrates. Salt spray test and electrochemical experiments were employed to compare the corrosion resistance behavior of the Zn-Al pseudo-alloy coating with the pure Al coating and Zn-Al alloy coating in chloride environments. Results The Zn-Al pseudo-alloy coating showed high activation capability and low corrosion rate. Conclusion The Zn-Al pseudo-alloy coating had higher corrosion resistance than the pure Al coating and Zn-Al alloycoating. |
