Abstract:
A novel absorbing material of nanometer carbon black blended with micron carborundum was prepared. The microstructure, conductive property and microwave absorption property of samples were measured The results show that addition of carborundum can reduce the resistivity and percolation threshold of carbon black/ epoxy resin coating. When CB mass fraction is low, reflection loss of the composite with carborundum is greater than that of the composite without carborundum. When 5% mass fraction carbon black is blended with 50% mass fraction carborundum to prepare composite with 2 mm thickness, the reflection loss is superior to- 10 dB at 7.5~ 13.5 GHz and the maximum reflection loss can reach- 40 dB.
