Abstract: |
Ni-based alloy coating was prepared by hot dipping on Q235 steel. Before and after corrosion, the phases and the microstructures of the coating were investigated by XRD and SEM-EDS, respectively, and the mechanism of corrosion of the coating was discussed. The results show that there are many forms of the precipitates in the coating. The width of transition zone is 5~ 8μm. The corrosion products of the coating are Ni(OH)2,Fe3O4and Fe+ 3O(OH). And the average corrosion rate of hot dipped Ni-based alloy is about 1.18× 10- 7 g/(h·mm2). Due to the different corrosion potentials of the alloy elements and the non-homogeneous structures, the corrosion is characterized of local corrosion, which first occurres around pores and the borders of precipitates. |
