Abstract:
For different fabrics, the quality of plating coating is difference greatly. In order to investigate the difference, polyamide fibers ( nylon) , polyester ( PET) , PAN fiber ( PAN) and cotton fabrics, which are used usually, were prepared by chemical nickel plating methods. Additionally, the morphology of the coating was analyzed by the scanning electron microscopy ( SEM) . Research shows that the coating thickness is about l ~ 2 μm, and the nickel content in the coating is about 97 percent, which is low-phosphorus alloy coating. As cotton is the natural fiber, in which there are a lot of short fibers and structural distortion, the coating is roughest than the other three synthetic fibers after plating. Since the coating is not continuous, and there are more faults, the surface resistance is greater.
