Abstract: |
An environmentally friendly approach was proposed to color 304 stainless steel in NaOH solution wi out Cr3+ or Cr6+ using alternative potentials with the modularized amplitudes and period at room temperature. The coloring technique produces a profile of golden, purple yellow , purple , purple blue and blue. Corrosion resistance of color film was evaluated by multi electrochemical techniques. The result shows that the color film obtained with a potential amplitude of 7. 0 - 8. OV and an electrolysis time of 4 - 7 minutes has best stability and corrosion resistance in 0. Smol/L H2S04 solution. |
