Abstract: |
A hot dipping 550-/o Al-Zn alloy coating was produced on the un-hardened and tempered N80 steel by two-step flux method, to improve the corrosion resistance in oil field. On the base, the microstructure of hot dipping 55% Al-Zn alloy coating and the corrosion resistance in NaCl solution of the alloy-coated steels were analyzed. And the comparison of the mechanical properties of N80 steels before-and-after coating was carried out. The results show that the microstructure of 550-/o Al-Zn coating is composed of an Al-Zn alloy overlay and a intermetallic layer. After hot dipping 55% Al-Zn alloy, the corrosion resistance in NaCl solution and mechanical properties of the alloy-coated steels can be greatly improved. The investigations indicat that it is feasible to use hot dipping 550-/o Al-Zn process to improve the corrosion resistance of N80 steel. |
