Abstract:
      The applications and developments of rare-earth elements in surface treatments of aluminum alloy, especially rare-earth elements conversion coatings of aluminum alloy and the influences of rare-earth elements on anode oxidation of aluminum alloy were reviewed. The rare-earth elements conversion coatings can improve the anticorrosion of aluminum alloy, its technology mainly adopts chemical dipping; rare-earth elements are beneficial to anode oxidation of aluminum alloys : they can strengLhen the ability of anode oxidation of aluminum alloys, they also can improve the anticorrosion of anode oxidation film on aluminum alloys. Therefore , the rare-earth elements in surface treatments of aluminum alloys have broad application prospects.
