Abstract: |
It is concluded that the thinner coating is better than the thicker one, in order to acquire thinner coating, based on the screw driving principle, a synchronous powder feeder for laser cladding is designed and manufactured, by which the relevant tests are made with Ni-based alloy powders and Al powders. The experimental results show that the device is continuous and stable. Through changing the diameter of thread spindle or the speed of rotation, the speed of powders feeder can be adjusted continuously. The thinner and homogenous coating is acquired by using the device in the laser cladding experiment. The shape is right, the surface is smooth, and the microstructure is finer. This work has a valuable meaning in practical application for the laser cladding technique, particularly in the aspect of the laser repair of materials. |
