Abstract:
      Graze ellipsometry spectrum method has been used to study the variation of behavior of release hydrogen on zinc electrode in alkaline electrolyte with adding tween20. The influence of Tween20 on property of zinc electrode has been investigated. It is revealed that Tween20 have notable influence on behavior of the zinc electrode in 1mol•dm-3 KOH. The influence mechanism of tween20 in any concentration studied is attributed to a covering effect. Cathodic hydrogen evolution, zinc dendritic growth and shape change of zinc electrode are suppressed by adding the reagent.
