Abstract:
Graphite-copper composites have been used in modern manufacturing due to their superior mechanical properties, self-lubricity, ease of production, and cost-effectiveness. The friction characteristics and wear behavior of graphite- copper materials are affected by mating materials, potentially leading to diverse levels of material loss and performance deterioration. Thereby, in this paper, the wear characteristics of graphite-copper composites when paired with mating material with different hardness are studied.
