Abstract:
The work aims to improve the corrosion resistance of welded surface of Q235 steel applied with antirust coating prepared by coating with rust, with respect to the problem of surface corrosion likely to occur thereon for warren rabbit hutch. Antirust coating was obtained by mixing phosphate, acrylic acid and its lipid monomers with the emulsified liquid. Coating was applied on the surface of Q235 steel in accordance with the standard (GB/T 4054—2008). Binding force of coating was evaluated with circle-drawing instrument by reference to GB 1720—1979. Coating hardness was measured by the pencil hardness based on GB/T 6739—2006. Coating thickness was measured by eddy current thickness meter. The smoke test, NMP test, EIS test and Machu test were carried out to assess the corrosion resistance of the coating. The results showed that binding force of antirust coating prepared for Q235 steel surface and the substrate was c1ass 1, with high bonding strength, class 5 coating hardness and thickness of about 12 μm. Machu test results showed that the smaller corroded coating area indicated relatively good corrosion resistance. The integrity of coated samples after 120 h NMP test remained good, showing good resistance to swelling. The results of EIS test showed that the impedance magnitude of the coating samples was obviously lower than Q235 steel, which showed better corrosion resistance. After 240 h salt spray test, the coating samples remained intact, reflecting better corrosion resistance. The results show that after antirust coating is prepared and applied on the surface of Q235 steel, the corrosion resistance of the samples is substantially improved.
