Abstract: |
In order to improve corrosion resistance of chrome-free conversion films on magnesium alloys, the process parameters of chrome-free conversion on die casting magnesium alloy had been optimized by orthogonal experiment. The effects of process parameters on properties of conversion film were discussed, and the morphology, chemical composition and phase structure were analyzed by SEM, EDS, XRD. The results show that the optimum corrosion resistance of films is acquired when the conversion solution concentration is as follows: 80"cracks"with 1~ 3μm width. Furthermore, the chemical composition of film surface consists of Mg, Al,O and P, as well as a small amount of Ca and V, while the phases compose of Mg, Mg17Al12and amorphous phase. |
