Abstract:
      To improve the abrasive grain wearability of materials, the orthogonal design has been applied to the self-designed NbC-TiC series surfacing electrode. The microstructure and properties were analyzed by means of OE, rockwell hardness meter, OM, SEM, EDAX and sand paper abrasion test. The results show that the content of the deposited metal of optimization electrode is CO. 60/o ,Cr3. 0010 ,Nbl. 50/o ,M00.40/o , and hardness up to HRC58. 9. The microstructure is the mixed martensite and a little retained austenite with NbC-TiC which are dispersively distributed in the matrix. A kind of surfacing electrode with anti-wearing and anti-cracking has been developed, which the surfacing metal is crack-free even under the conditions of non-preheating and non-postheating.
