Abstract: |
In order to reduce the corrosion of acidic paint stripper to aeronautical metals and provide with better anti-corrosion additive for AIL4130, TC4, LY12, and 20# steel, a series of inhibitors and their composite were investigated. Weight loss experiment, Tafel curves measurement and SEM observation were camed out for the above metals in the formic acid solution which was normally used in the paint stripper. The experimental results indicate that the optimizing composite inhibitor consists of sodium benzoate, 2-thiourea, hexamethylenetetramine, sodium laurylsulfonate and l,2,3-benzotriazole. The anti-corrosion efficiency for AIL4130, TC4, LY12 and 20# steel is 95. 73% , 88. 49% , 92. 47% , 86.49% respectively. The weight loses of the four metals and the pitting depth are far lower than the related standard of the material corrosion of airplane metal. |
