Abstract:
      Epoxy is widely applied in anti-corrosion coatings because of its strong adhesion and well chemicals resistance and wear resistance. However, for the weakness such as brittleness, epoxy usually needs to be modified in the application. Especially the modification of epoxy by nano-powders became the focus and played an important role in improving the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of epoxy coatings. The progress on nano-filler epoxy coatings was reviewed, the advanced methods of dispersion and evaluation of nano powders in epoxy resin were introduced and the development of nano-fillers applying in heavy-duty and anti-wear epoxy coating was prospected.
