Abstract: |
In order to research the influence of frequency of intermittent altemative magnetic field on micro structure and properties of plasma arc surfacing layer, a longitudinal intermittent alternative magnetic field has been applied to the plasma arc surfacing welding on low carbon steel. The effect of different frequencies of magnetic field on the hardness , wearing resistance and microstructure of surfacing layer have been systematically researched by using optical e lectronic microscope, wear test and microscopic hardness testing. The results have indicated that proper frequency can increase the amount of hardening phase in overlay deposit, control the growth direction of hardening phase and improve the hardness and wear resistance of the surfacing overlay. Moreover, the optimum effect on electromagnetic stirring can be obtained. |
