Abstract: |
By using of gas-solid reactions of C02 with 24 hours, 48 hours and 120 hours to generate compact oxide films with the property to block hydrogen permeation. Then keeping the three kinds of samples for 72 hours at 700℃ in an environment with 0. 5atm carbon-dioxide. As a result, sheet crusting and partial powdering even bursting appeared on all samples. Observation by SEM found that the compact zirconium films will react with C02 at 700℃ to form the unprotected oxide films, and lead to the phase change that accelerate the corrosion in the hydrogen permeation barrier. After keeping 400 hours at 700℃ in the same environment with C02 , all the three kinds of samples totally react to white zirconium powder. |
