Representative Researches
Up to July 2015, the journal has published 237 issues with more than5000 papers. These papers issued since the year 1988 can be inquired on the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, of which 2719 papers weresponsored by foundation programs, accounting for 54% of the total papers. In the funded papers, 42% were funded by national foundations, including Natural Science Foundation of China, National High Technology Research and Development Program (“863 Program”), National Key Basic Research Program of China (“973 Program”) and National Science and Technology Support Plan and National Key Fund. Especially 180 papers published in 2015, 71% of them were sponsored by foundation programs, of which 48% were funded by national foundations.
The published papers involve more than 610 organizations, 28 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China, as well asfrom someother countries. As for the classification distribution of organizations, the involved organizations are mainly colleges and universities, research institutes, as well as certain numbers of enterprises. Especially, the organizations including almost all the top universities in China (such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Tongji University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tianjin University, Nanjing University, etc), and research institutes about surface treatment (such as Institute of Metal Research Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Academy of Engineering Physics, China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group, China Academy of Machinery Science & Technology, Southwest Technology and Engineering Research Institute, etc).
Among all the authors,there are more than 2300authors from 76 universities under the “211 Program”, of which 33 are universities under the “985 Program”, involving almost all universities with surface treatment major under the “985 Program”, such as Tsinghua University,Peking University,Zhejiang University,Fudan University, etc.(The universities under the “985 Program” and the “211 Program”represent the top universities in China.) These data reveals that Surface Technology is an outstanding academic journal with nationwide influence.

Note: This paper, which was written by the research group lead by Professor XU Chun-chun from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and funded by the National Key Technology Research Development Program during the Tenth Five-year Plan Period (2001BA805B01), proposed that the compound corrosion inhibitor has a good synergistic effect and the corrosion effect is best at a total mass fraction of 0.3% and a mass ratio of 2∶1 for two inhibitors.
