Abstract: |
Investigating effect of metameric pigments on properties of solar reflective insulation coatings so as to give reference value to pigments screening. Solar reflective insulation coatings were prepared by introducing three types of green pigments with styrene-acrylic emulsion respectively. Influence of crystal structure and optical properties of pigments on properties of coatings was investigated. XRD diffraction, ultraviolet/visible/near infrared spectrophotometer, infrared radiance gauge and precision chromatic meter were used to characterize properties of pigments and coatings. Iron oxide green pigment, which had bigger grain size, presenting better near infrared reflective properties, which was 0.110 higher than chrome green pigments. Influence of three types of green pigments on infrared emissivity and comprehensive mechanical properties of coatings was inconspicuous. Infrared emissivity of three coatings was above 0.90 and comprehensive mechanical properties were satisfactory. Near infrared reflective properties, near infrared energy reflective properties and insulation properties from high to low was chrome green, iron oxide green and cobalt green coating respectively. Comprehensive properties of coatings should be considers instead of near infrared reflectance of pigments when picking up pigments for solar reflective insulation coatings so as to making correct judgment. |
