Surface preparation is considered to be the most important step of producing clad metals, and bond strength of clad metals greatly depends on the surface preparation. The surface preparation methods, such as mechanical treatment, chemical treatment, electrochemical treatment and other treatment methods, have been briefly overviewed, and their advantages or disadvantages are also described. As a result, mechanical treatment with chemical degreasing plays an important role in improving bond quality and production efficiency of clad plate metals. |
